Charanya Ramakrishnan is an educator, visual arts facilitator, artist and Fulbright scholar . Currently, she works at the historic Louis Armstrong House Museum and is involved in the art education and community engagement initiatives at the Museum. A graduate of the Art Education and Community Practice program at NYU Steinhardt and Masters in Social Work at Tata Institute of Social Sciences, she is dedicated to furthering the practice of art as a transformational pedagogy. Charanya’s practice also draws upon her experience of working with Yakshi Resource and Creativity Center for Rural Children and Youth, India and the Food Sovereignty Alliance in India.
